Five outlaws once roamed the U.S. Western territories. The leader and organizer was J. Wendell Summerhayes. The deadliest gun in the West, Brodie Hollister, was the team marksman while Varges de la Cosa avoided guns and used knives and bolos. Bannister Sparks helped plan the robberies, invest the group’s funds, and use his knowledge of explosives to crack open vaults, while Prometheus Jones provided the muscle.[3]
